HEALTHY MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY

It promotes the creation of education, prevention and applied research environments to improve our communities.

Thirty students from the Dr. Antonio Reyes Padilla Occupational School have the Mission of evaluating the health and well-being of a population to obtain cases with Prediabetes in various community screenings. Around 200 people will be chosen to participate in 6 working groups for one year.

• 30 Young students of nursing and medical emergencies commit to participate in healthy competition in a challenge to become Health Promoters.
• Only 6 of these manage to obtain the scholarship in a quality system, where only those who obtain the most points may be the winners.
• There will be 6 teams of 5 students to select one from each team for a Lifestyle Coach Scholarship with an option to work in the Puerto Rico Diabetes Prevention Program (Puerto Rico DPP).
• First prize is the Lifestyles Promoter Rising to the Top Medal to those who complete the Assessment mission in the first 2 months.
• Each student will be committed to working in health care teams.
• The student who misses 3 workshops is automatically disqualified.
• Anyone who does not work for their team may be disqualified.

The Challenge Climb the Top

What is the challenge?

Each student participates in a health care and prevention team called the Collaboration Table.

These teams will work together to deliver reports, do tasks that will be delivered with surprises, evaluate and execute prevention tasks that will be instructed by the main Coach.

FIRST CHALLENGE:

Create a collaboration table, only those who do go to the next workshop. Although it is a group workshop, the registration is individual.

• Everyone must register and answer the questionnaire.
